Hi all, i just picked up this sweet 1987 iroc-z with an l98 vette motor, although i own a 94 corvette i dont know much about the L98 motor.

How do i know that i bought a true iroc-z, i purchesd it for 4400, did i pay to much.

It was painted about 6 months ago and dosint have a mark or rust on the body, it is truly mint in and out.

also i went to the auto parts to get new plugs and wires, but the guy asked me if it had aluminum or iron heads, i dont know

look at your rpo codes in the center console. if it has the code L98 or LB9 its an iroc. im not sure if the iroc-z came with the Z28 rpo code or not. but i dont think they ever made a factory yellow car. what year is it, im guessing '86-'88. and i dont think camaros came with aluminum heads, only the corvettes did, but if you say its a corvette L98 go look at the heads, its easy to tell if its aluminum or iron.

BTW - welcome aboard.
