I think they'd be illegal on the street. Cops don't like cars that imitate cop colors(e.g. blue, red, etc.)

Sigh...it's your car. You won't be driving around with those, though.

As far as light output goes...any bulb that has a color coating is not letting all of its potential light out, that includes Silverstar (Halogen with blue coating))bulbs. I know my local Advance Auto has the big square headlights that hold H4 bulbs or the 900X equivalent of H4. I think they are APC diamond headlights. I recommend those and then swapping the bulbs with GE Nighthawk Xenon Bulbs. People love silverstars but if you search the net, you'll find that the nighthawks are cheaper, last longer, and brighter. I haven't upgraded headlights yet...or experimented with the Silverstar vs. Nighthawk debate

Another thing you can do is install thicker wires and relays. There is a tech article on this in the technical articles section somewhere.

The blue led part...I dont know. Might be cool?? I wouldn't drive around like that but it might look cool when you're parked in the lot on saturday night by wherever the cars cruise around at. I haven't seen anything like this on the street but around here there are few imports so I dont see this kind of stuff. Its one of those things I would want to see in person to decide if its cool or not.

I think the blue edge wouldnt look bad,
but yeah possible that cops can pick on ya,
plus it might look a bit ***** but yeah
as long as ur car color is right(not white etc)
IMO it wouldnt look bad.

Hi all, im new to this board.
I have those same lights on my 94 vette and you might need to check with your local town since some states may not allow, athough it
's hard not to allow cuz so many new cars have the bright blue.

I just bought an 87 Iroc that i will be getting the lights for, i live an connecticut were it is allowd plus they look nice.

Dont buy GE Night Hawks. Their HORRIBLE!!! I installed them in my 05 Sierra and they were actually dimmer than my stockers. I recently installed Silverstars and they were much brighter. Just my 2 cents.

If he wants to do it, don't knock him. As long as it's legal. Are you really gonna lose any sleep over it at night subliminal?

I honestly like the second set. i like the clear lense just not the blue lights. my question would be why would you want the "angel eyes" on a set of lights that only come one when they pop up? its not like you would run w/ the lights up on a T/A w/ just the glow would you? i don't know i'm not knocking any of them, as a matter of fact i think i might be getting a set but i just don't get how it would work w/ the "glow" in use w/ the lights up but the headlights not actually on do i make sense?

Its possible to make just the blue part turn on. Turn on your headlights, quickly turn them off, then quickly turn on just your park lights before your flip-ups go down. The flip-ups will stay up and the headlights won't be on.

i know in california blue lights are not legal at all

i often wonder if people in newer cars ever get messed with, because i see them driving around all the time

but they won't mess around if you have a car that isn't brand new, you'll get pulled over quick. out here they like to pull you over for any reason just to get a quick look around your car and try to get you for anything else they can possibly find.

only thing i've seen them be lenient about is the front license plate law that we have. it doesn't seem to be enforced at all, but is one of those things they'll write you up for once you've been pulled over for anything else (like a seatbelt or loud exhaust)

Somebody should photoshop those on an IROC to give us all a better idea of what it would look like our cars.

Looks interesting though. It's definetely "different".

-------

As far as the angel eye's, excuse my ignorance on the subject as I have no experience with aftermarket lighting (My IROC still has the origional 18 year old headlights )

But when you turn on your lights, is the blue outline all that you see or do you have the typical light coming through the centre like the average headlight?

Can the blu-lighting be turned off/on?

They do look pretty good but like I said, I have no experience on this subject so if anyone could shed some light on this for me, that would be appreciated.

Any pic's of Camaro's with these types of headlights would be great. I've done a search, but could only find 3 or 4 low-quality pic's which makes it hard to judge...

The 4th set of lights is a bi xenon conversion headlamp, they dont have the blue part( angel eye) on them.On the 1st 3 set of lights, you could get the same exact headlight without the blue halo .
Now if what you were talking about was the lil blue parking light it can be turned of too

Not sure if this is a dumb Q or not but after looking into these lights i started wondering will these sets fit in a 3rd gen Trans Am? I have seen everyone w/ the interest having a maro and i wondered if these dimensioned lights are the ones that can be poped in our 3rd gen? any one know?

Also the H4 light that is offered in light #2 is that the light that could be hooked up to our ballast? sp?

I ask because i will be getting HID's and wanted to know if the H4's are the bulbls i should get? thanks a mil

Rick

Now dont take my word as a guarantee, but as long as Im concerned all conversion headlamps have that purpose , give you the ability to change or switch your lighting system , in case you have stock sealed beams. As long as measurements not sure what the camaro dimensions are but T/A's are 7x6
just like the maxda rx7, acorrd 85-89 or some gmc trucks.

The ballast question,I could ask the seller and let you know.
