Hello,
I am in the middle of prepping my 1982 Black/Gold Trans Am for paint. From looking at my car before work began, I assumed that there was factory rocker guard underneath the gold paint on the doors and fenders infront and behind the doors.

Now, during the stripping process, I have discovered that once the rocker guard is removed there appears to be gold paint underneath. So do these cars have rocker guard on them from the factory?

so are you asking if these "rocker gaurds' were dealer installed or if your car originally had them????
