headlight motor problem

Here's the problem I'm having:

Parking lights on, pass headlight goes up.
Headlights on, drivers headlight may or may not go up.
Driving with the lights up and I hit a bump, drivers headlight falls.
Drivers headlight sometimes can be moved freely and won't stay up.
Drivers headlight motor keeps running after the headlight goes down.

From the symptoms I describe, is it probable that my bushings and / or gear in the drivers side motor need to be replaced? TIA

That sounds like the internals of the driver motor, I'd say junkyard a new one. it'll be much less work to just take out 3 screws and swap a motor then to rebuild the one u have
