Why in the hell does my window rattleso much in my iroc can someone please tell me the cure to this annoying problem ?

 

I just replaced my outer window sweeps in my 87. MAJOR difference in how the doors sound when I close them, how the windows roll up and down, and no wind noise or rattles. Took about an hour per side to install them. And check to see if the little rubber bump stop on the back window channel is still there. Both mine were gone and allowed the window to roll down too far and catch under the outer sweep and try to tear it off when I rolled the window up. I used small furniture bump stops to replace my old ones. Cost about $3 for them. Hardest part was drilling out the rivet to get the old stop backing plate off. I used 10x24 botton head allen bolts and nylock nuts to put the new stops on.
