Which air dam do I need?

I was checking out moderndaymuscle.com in search of a new air dam. They have 3 versions. I'm pretty sure my 1991 GTA requires the 3 piece air dam, but I'd like to make sure before I order. Can anyone verify this for me?

Thanks!

The three piece goes in front of the radiator, whereas the one piece goes underneath it. Which dam are you replacing?

Oh snap, there are 2 air dams on my car?

I thought there was only one!

I know the one in the front of the car is pretty beat up and needs to be replaced. I never even noticed the other one. Maybe it isnt on my car anymore?

So I would need the 3 piece dam, and the 1 piece dam for 91-92, but not the other one piece that's available on the site?

Thanks!

That's what it seems like. The pictures on the site are pretty crappy though, so it's hard to tell. I'd call them up and double check first.

And your car hasn't overheated without that air dam yet?

I sent the following email to modern day muscle about my air dam question:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have a 1991 Pontiac Trans Am GTA. Do I need both the "3 Piece Style Front Radiator Air Dam" and the "91-92 Center Under Radiator Air Dam"? Am I correct in assuming that the "1 Piece Style Front Radiator Air Dam" is not for my car?

Thank you for your assistance.

And I recieved the following response:

Hi, GM did discontinue both of the outer sections of the original air dam for th '91 model year Fireibrds and replaced it with the 3 piece set(the outer pieces do mount differently though). The center section we have listd seperatly is the correct style for your application. I beleive the 1 piece style was primarily used on the base models. Thanks

So I'm still confused as to which one I need. Can someone with a 1991 GTA at least verify that there is a front air dam (3 pieces) and a second air dam near the radiator? Or is there just one?

If you have 2 seconds, please look under your car.

Thanks again!
Bill
