are the GFX on a 82 Trans am the same/use the same mounting holes as a 89 TA?

 

No, they are totally different. An 82 doesn't have much in the way of ground FX, they only had small flares ahead of the front and rear wheels, no full length ground FX like on the later years.

the mounting holes are also different on the 82's, they are drilled lower on the body.

 

GE made the factory spats for just in front of the rear wheel openings they are a reallyhard dense plastic and are white and smooth when bare
i could get you pics of the 82 83 84 GFX body holes on my 82 t/a if you want, i currently have the GFX pices off my regular 82 t/a(non-aero package car)

im just gonna stick with the stock appropriate gfx pieces, on ebay a while ago was the fender FX but i didnt bid on em. thanks for the input
