83-84 GFX's fit on a 1986 Trans AM?

Would 83-84 GFX's fit on a 1986 Trans AM?

like same mounting holes on the doors are my most concern

Any ideas lets me know I'm changing up my 1986 body.

Thanks

i know for a fact 1984 trans ams had a complete ground effect package. I believe 1983 had the same but not 100% certain. And your right in 1982 they only had those 2 front fender flares and 2 rear things in front of the rear wheel wells.

And actually I am doign the same swap 83-84 on my 1986 trans am. I have to buy the front and rear bumpers from 82-84 and bought the door ground effects from 84 and because the 85-90 door effects are taller than the 83-84 door effects the 86 holes are taller and have to be welded shut and smaller holes a little lower have to be drilled for the 84 to fit on 86.

I'm doing it I can send you pics once i'm done. But wont be till end of june.

but the lower rocker door panels should bolt right in but thats the only thing i think will fit without some "minor" fabrication

84 TAs have the complete wrap around GFXs from the 83 pace cars. other than that I believe that Randy is right. But no, I don't believe that early model GFXs will fit. at least not without a bit of modification.
