Elongating 91-92 Z28 wing, possible?
I'm wanting to put a 91-92 Z28 wing on my toneau cover for my truck. Problem is it is a few inches to narrow and there aren't any aftermarket spoilers that resemble the wing, let alone any other choices.
If I get 2 Z28 spoilers and I cut out the size section I need, cut the other spoiler right down the middle and attach the section, then get some plastic weld and go to work glueing and sanding and prepping for paint.
Does the lines and flow of the spoiler allow me to do this? Is the spoiler straight from side to side? Does it get a bit thinner towards the edges?

i think there are suttle curves in there that will show up if you splice in a piece from another one. but...if you splice it in and then you bondo or fiberglass over it, youll be able to continue the curves. and when your splicing in a piece with no centre support, it may be pretty flimzy, perhaps cutting it in half and sticking some wooden ribs would be good for stiffness.

Did it have the pedestals the Z28 wing has? I would think it would be pretty sturdy. Anyone have pic from dead-on above the spoiler?
Gramps, I would definately reinforce with wood or plastic for sure. But I won't be fiberglassing it, just using plastic weld.
