ive got a carb 350 in my iroc, edlebrock eps manifold, eps 800 carb, and edlebrock 3"filter. could some of yall post pics of what yall did, or tell me, and does anyone know actually how much clearence is needed?

 

I bought a cervinis three inch cowl hood for clearance and used a drop base air filter.

 

I was running a stock hood, Victor Jr intake, half inch spacer, K&N drop based air cleaner and a Demon carb with it just touching the hood. No spacer I'd have zero problems. How much all that adds up to? I dunno. Went and got a 3 inch cowl hood so I could bolt on my nitrous plate but probably could run the stock hood again if I just used the plate instead of plate and spacer.

 

I have an Edelbrock carb with a 10x2 filter on top under a stock hood. The previous owner put a 1" spacer under the carb, but I took that thing out... total overkill for a mild 350 and it didn't fit either.

I'm stepping that up to an Edelbrock 14x3 with a 1" drop base as soon as it's back from inspection today... if it doesn't fit I'm sure a 14x2 will.
