Rusted Holes...
Rusted Holes...
I pulled my interior to POR 15 the floor then dynomat it, so when i pulled the carpet i found a few hole's maybe a quarter in size on my floorboards. I would say there is prob. around 6 of them. 2 by the passengers toes, 2 under the rear seat, and 2 right around the drivers seat. whats the easiest way to fix these and are they weakening the strength of my car at all?

it depends on how you define "fix" i had a few holes and i ended up cutting out a square around them, getting a set of good floor boards from a firebird that my friend paul hueing cut in half... then just cut what i needed out and welded it in... if you don't have those kind of resources you could always pop rivet a patch in and POR 15 it when its done... though thats kinda the half assed fix...

If there the size of a quater then id say get about 3 -4 inch size pieces of galvanized metal about 20 gauge and either weld it in... or if you dont have a welder, get a product called 5200 from 3M they have it in any home depot ( usually used on boats) but a great adhesive thats water proof and as strong as a weld. Put that on both the edge around the hole and the side of metal going to cover the hole, then pop rivet it in. This stuff takes about a week to fully dy tho, i think 2 days to touch.. but it works good.
