Rust above window
I have an 89 RS, and I have rust that's been getting worse by the day over the drivers side window. Now my qusetions is, should I cut and patch or grind and fill?

Whats peoples obsession with bondo???
bondo is a brand name , its body filler and theres a lot better fillers out there then bondo, ever coat or ever lite for ex.
If it were me i would grind that down to bare metal put a rust inhibitor over it such as mort rust.. give it 3 days to dry, wipe it down again, spread a thin thin coat of filller over it, and etching primer over bare metal spots, fallowed by a reg primer, and blend with your fact paint, its not that bad.. id get it now before it starts to spread though

But back on topic, definitely sand it down to bare metal, I forgot to mention that in my other post.

Ok thanks for the tips, I'm probably going to grind it, fill it and just prime it. The car needs to be painted so i'll just live with the primed spots for a while. Whoever owned the car previously had a crappy paint job done, there are a couple runs it looks as though they may have done it themselves
