strut tower gap

Car: 1984 camaro
Engine: 2.8l to 383 stroker
Transmission: t5 to th400
Axle/Gears: 12 bolt soon with 3.73s
strut tower gap

would it hurt anything if i had my dad weld up that ugly gap between the top of the tower and the inner fender it looks really bad lol i was going to have him weld it and smooth it out will it effect anything?

has anyone done this yet?

Are you talking about the gap between the upper strut mount housing and the sheet metal that it is mounted to? If it's not pulling loose, rusted or broken in any way, dont do it. You may want to replace it someday as the bearing wears out and are replaced as a complete unit.

witch bearing is connected to it ?
