BIG ugly dirty CRACK
I have a 91' Bird and the front bumper cover is cracked up in the right center of it. Dont wanna have to replace the whole thing just for that. Is there some known way of mending this material?

There is an abundance of products for this purpose on the market. They are not cheap, but most are easy to work with if you have basic autobody experience. Your local automotive paint supplier will be able to recommend a product to you, I would but there is no telling what would be available to you.

Considering there are no automotive paint suppliers within atleast 50 miles of here I see online shopping in my future.

What kind of prices are we talkin here?

a quart size bottle of filler cost me 26 bucks. It wasn't to expensive IMO the sem primer and sealer cost me 12 bucks per 12 oz. aerosal can. Iended up using 3. that was kind of pricey 4 spray paint, but am more than pleased with the results. This stuff all works very well

Re: BIG ugly dirty CRACK
U have a pic of the crack? If its real big u will need some kind of backing. The best stuff that i have use is by 3m I think its 8115 (not sure)I can look on monday. Its in a red and black tube. But U do need the gun to so u are looking at like 50 or 60 bucks. But it can be used as the backing glue. And u can use it on the front side the stuff sands nice and the stuff sticks to everything. Than I would go over that with some poly flex from evercoat thatss about 25 30 bucks. its a flexable glaze coat. prime and paint. Use a fiberglass backing mat. (we use drywall tape at work) Same stuff they sell as backing for bumpers but lot cheaper

Re: BIG ugly dirty CRACK
The stuff I used is made by Dolphin Glaze, it is about 50-60 a tube. This stuff will go a long way, but once opened it does not have a shelf life. You will also have to buy the mixing gun as well, it almost looks like a giant tube of epoxy. It mixes as it comes out. The stuff is made speciffically for urethane applications, and fixing plastic bumpers. It takes about 40 mins to tack up good, and 24 hours to fully cure. Once cured it will feather really nice and should be suitable for a good touch up with paint. The stuff is hard as a rock, the bumper around it will break b4 it will recrack.

Because its warped now I'll need something strong enough to hold the two sides together long enough for the adheisive to dry.

Re: BIG ugly dirty CRACK
I used flexible bumper repair from Autozone. Kit was $12 I think.
Pull bumper and prep area- I used 100 grit sandpaper. Glue the seams together as well as use the tape that comes with it (it's a screen-like material). This keeps it firm so you don't just mound up epoxy. Put some on the front of the crack as well so you can sand it and have a smooth fix.
I worked in small portions, took two attempts to finish a 6 inch crack becuase it wrapped around the edge of my bumper. If it's a straight area I'd clamp wood blocks wrapped with seran wrap to keep it from adhering (for lack of better materials).
Once it hardens I'd put a few more layers of the tape and epoxy combo to ensure a strong yet flexible repair.

Re: BIG ugly dirty CRACK
U could heat up the area first with a heat gun. That will get it back to shape. Then use some vicegrips and some paint sticks to hold it while the epoxy dries. On the out side v the crack and fill with the same stuff u used on the back
