wondering if the ever made a 79 formula styled hood for a 3rd gen

 

The hood that you're referring to is called a "Shaker" hood. It came on the 2nd gen Trans Ams. Here is a thread with a member who has one on a thirdgen.

Note that he used the "shaker" from a late 70's 301 Trans Am. I know the Trans Am's in the later 70's that came with the 400 or 403 had a "shaker" that was not as tall and much wider. I personally think his hood would have looked better with a "shaker" from a 400/403 car. Just my opinion.

Dude I'm f*cking retarded. I totally missed "formula". They make a Ram Air hood for our cars. It doesn't look much like the 2nd gen formula hood though.

 

yea i was looking for a hood with the dual scoops like my 79 formula for my gpa cuz he needs a new hood and his is dead lol
