How much paint to paint a Camaro?

I am going to buy paint to attempt to paint my Camaro myself. How much paint/clear should I expect to buy? A Gallon, pint, quart, what?

Thanks!

if you plan on jambing everything, a gallon would be your best bet, since when it is reduced you're looking at a gallon and a quarter...but if its just the exterior, a half gallon should be fine. then again, it all depends on the color/coverage and whether you're sealing it or not. you have to be a little more specific...and id buy a gallon of clear, just my preference because i like to wetsand the orange peel off of my cars...

A gallon is all you need, much to your dismay because it'll set you back $300 for gorgeous metallic. But then, yes, you need to mix in reducer and hardener, and then buy a kiln the size of your boat of a car!

I am only using 3 qts total. ( I am making the car two different colors) It matters what color your sealer is too. Dark sealers for dark paint, light sealers for light paint. Do not skip on the clear though. buy enough to do at least two coats of clear. Paint series can make a huge difference in cost. DuPont Nason series is inexpensive, $80 for 3 qts. Chroma Premier is expensive at $175-200 for 3 qts color.

couple of questions, how much expierience do you have painting, are you spraying in a booth, garage, or worse outside, and what kind of a gun are you using to spray with. How much paint you use can vary greatly, depending on expierience, and the conditions your spraying in.
