What do you think?
I am going to buy this 1989 Camaro RS 5.0 and the car is solid, no visible rust, the car is from arizona, and seems to be in very good shape. I am going to buy this car from my autobody teacher who is going to buff the car and bring the shine back and have the broken brake line fixed. In the long run i will paint it but its ok for right now. The car is gonna cost $1800 it has 145,000 miles and i have a complete 1991 Camaro parts car at home which is 100% interchangable parts. Also the car is dirty and the front lower ground effect on the bottom of the bumper is mud not chipped or worn off paint. Thanks

Re: What do you think?
The car looks amazingly solid. Id buy it in a heartbeat, strip the hell out of it, and rebuilt it to my specs. Awesome projet car. Lots and lots of potential... I wish I could find one like this up here in Canada.

Re: What do you think?
Car looks good from the pics, but check:
torque blocks
wheel wells
flares
etc
dose it shift solid?
make any odd noises?
look at every square inch of that car lol
the way it looks now, id buy it, but the more little things you find, ya might be able to get the price lowered a bit

Re: What do you think?
Yeah, it's nice, but there are better bargains. Just purchased two myself 89 and 90 and both have their issues. One runs one doesnt, but they both 5.7 IROCS and the 1990 is especially rare with leather but the 89 has T-Tops. Neither one was more that what you are going to pay. They both have original paint so i know there are no issues with bondo or such with these two. The camaro you buying looks like it got repainted because of the license plate. I would double check everything and knock on panels to see what is up.

Re: What do you think?
so? for all you know it was painted. and i'm not dumb i got it from a guy who has been doing bodywork his entire life and was owned before that by one of the best mechanics around here and before that a girl. so i'm pretty sure the car is solid. but thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Re: What do you think?
viper, no matter what you post on here, there will be people who will tear you down for it. if you paid such and such price, then they paid so much less for so much more...they live to make themselves feel better about themselves by pointing out oddly dumb things to people who post on here. It's about enough to drive people AWAY from the boards. You got a dang nice solid car there, worth the money, and you'll have years of fun with it. Rock on man! Good purchase!
I'm surpised someone hasn't bashed you for the bird doo on the front nose! lol

That place looks really familiar to me. What is the name of that place? Yeah definetly get the car. Amazing deal for what your getting. Check the frame to make shure it's not bent before you buy it though and see if there are any electrical problems.

Re: What do you think?
I get ragged alllll the time on my Iroc, and I only paid $700 for it. lol
If you got what you wanted, awesome for you! Congrats anyhow, seems like you did get a good deal.
Re: What do you think?
v10, dont get so unpleasant. we are only giving our opinions as you asked. prices may be different depending on area, so i am only giving you what i think with my local market. you got a plane jane RS nice interior but not so nice exterior paint, and it was repainted already! If it had nice exterior paint with no damages, you got a good bargain. I can get that car here for $1200 easily. Did you check carfax? You got a good start with that car, but remember the money you will need for everything else. But what the heck, it's your money, sounds like this will be your first car and you have that itch. Get it, at least you aint spending money getting a brand new car.

Re: What do you think?
heres the Camaro i bought.... it is 100% buffed but in the pic its not. the car is almost 100% buffed in the pics. and the front ground effect has chipped paint eventhough i said it was mud. I thought it was mud but the paint was actually gone. lol o well. this winter i'm going to take the car into our autobody shop at school and get her repainted.
