I need some adivse and tips on repainting the hood blisters on my 89 IROC. They are faded and do not do the car justice.

I thought I remember reading about this before but a search turned up no results.

Thanks.................

Re: Repainting Hood Blisters

You didn't mention whether they are the same color as the car. if so, to save a few bucks you could carry them to an auto body shop and have the body shop get the local paint rep to shoot the paint to get the correct color match, go home take them off, sand them down with 320 followed with 400 and take them back to let them refinish them.

They are the black stock IROC hood louvers (the car is blue). I want to do them myself but no sure how to proceed.
