Headlight Door Alignment
I recently took my headlight door motors apart and repaired the broken inserts in the drive gear and put it back together. The motors ran before, but the door would not flip up. Now they work, but the doors are so tight against the rubber bumper that the doors are slightly under the hood when closed. Other than that they work perfect. I can't find a stop for the door other than the rubber bumper when it closes. Is this how it's supposed to work? How can I fix it?

Yes, from what I understand they shut off due to an increase of amperage draw when they hit the stops. Theres a really expensive box on the firewall that controls this.
It took me foreever to get my lights realigned since I didn't mark the brackets before removal. You may need to put shims under the bottom of the bracket that will angle the whole fixture out some. Its a adjust, close hood insepct repeat job but you can get them to align.
