How DO you get the paint off?
I got a hood from a 85 Camaro outta the junkyard. I'm gonna replace the hood I got cause its got bondo in it and I want the car repainted. The paint on the replacement hood is nearly impossible to strip off to get so I can prime it. I have tried Tal-Strip in 90 degree heat for an hour and nothing and also tried a 13k orbital sander with 80 grit sandpaper on it and managed just to get the surface rust off. WHAT IS THE DEAL! Am I going at it the wrong way or what? Never seen something this hard to get off?

ok, your definently going to want to use 36 grit if your wanting to take it down to steel. Either 36 on an 8 inch mud slinger or 36 grit grinding disk. I would have figured chemical stipper would have took if off though....

Use aircraft remover. Make sure you got some thick gloves though and plenty of water on hand. Be careful that stuff is potent and strips things down to steel very quickly.
