Relocating Fuel Cap (need questions answered and ideas)
Hey, Not been here in a while so bear with me. I am having my car worked on body wise, lots of paint, new fenders front bumper cover etc... and I am having some custom work done on it as well. But before telling the guy who has my car anything, I want to get educated on the topic. I want to shave my fuel door and relocate the tube, or pipe, or whatever you call it, to somewhere else. I'm looking for people who have done this or have good ideas on where to put it. Putting it behind the rear license plate is out of the question as far as I know because I want that lock to get into my hatch. So there's my problem. Thank you for your help. Man this site has already saved me from countless already answered questions. Thanks guys.

hey man give it more than 3 hours, most of us work during the day. Also, If you want ideas start searching around. I also think you need to figure out if you want to shave the cap completely, or just get rid of the finger pull. I see no reason to move the gas cap, where it is is close to the fuel tank, and it doesn't interrupt the lines of the car. To each his own though.

Yea, I guess I was a little impatient. Sorry. My bad. I do want to get rid of the whole door and see what options are the for placement for a hidden sort of thing. I guess I don't know how to describe it. But just no fuel door and maybe something accessible to still fill the car up with gas.

I've seen the neck moved to the wheel well. And I've seen it moved to inside the rear glovebox, but then you hafta pop the hatch to fill up. I've seen it moved behind the tail light, with the light hinged.
