Z-28 Emblems
Wheres the best place to buy replacements? I have an 86 that I will be re-painting. At that time I wall also want to replace the red striped that run around the car above the ground effects. I saw someone selling a kit on ebay..anyone use this kit yet?

I've had personal experience with them in the past on an older Z, and they were great. The decals come already templated for perfect fit (next to no measuring required). Colour, fit, and quality top-notch. Prompt service.

I remember looking at yours Steve at TGF and saying to myself "Damn those look nice but how did he find Blue ones?"
Personally I would love to find some Gold RS but I can only find the rockers new and no rear bumper. I may go with Billet ones.

Re: Z-28 Emblems
The emblems are about the same price anywhere new, Hawks is good as any. Hard to find used ones that really look as good as new. I got a stripe kit from an outfit called Decal King. They give plenty of material, extra, but it's not cut for the car and some of the corners are sort of a compound angle, real hard to apply the straight pieces. I'd try a different place for that.

Re: Z-28 Emblems
Another place that is pretty good for restore parts is classic industries. The sell emblems that are new only thing is i ordered a catalog for them but u can download one... but they are pricy in some ways but kinda cheap priced in others but they do have stripe kits and emblems. check them out too.
Re: Z-28 Emblems
i had brand new gm ones on my show car. maybe 3,000 road miles and no matter how hard i tried i couldn't save them to look just as good as they did on the car. i had to buy new and pay the gypsies on ebay. it's either that or do something different. ebay seems to have the best prices. some emblems are still available from gm though. i just bought a new 5.7 and z28 rear emblem for my 91 at the dealer.

Hey and don't forget Modern Day Muscle (Perry Pam) website. They have alot of new emblems with decent pricing. I got just about all my emblems for the berlinetta there. And my emblems are super hard to find new now.
