Car: '85 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: stock BW 5 spd.
Axle/Gears: stock 3.42
painting the bumpers

how do I prep & paint the rubber bumper covers on an 82 TA?, (keep in mind I'm on a tight budget)

if the paint on it is still good, i would say a light sanding and then spray it with whatever paint, i know that basecoat/clearcoat doesnt need a flex additive but i'm not too sure about all the others...if the paint is bad and theres cracks all over, i'd suggest sanding it to the rubber and then spraying primer with flex additive...but thats just what i'm thinking, there could be another way

Just remember to use plastic primer on bare plastic so you won´t have adhesion problems with what you put on top of that
