I had my car repaired after an accident and the tail lights were replaced, well, there is a difference in the tail lights noteably the old ones had a round purplish dot on either side, as seen in the picture, the new ones dont. Any idea why it is I cant seem to find another pair with the round dots? Or what the hell the round dots are?

 

hi well you cant find nay lights with them because the dots are not factory

they are bought aftermarket through stores or catalogs

they are for dress up/show, they are supposed to light up with the lights to look "pretty"

i dont understand why you think you should be able to find any out therewith dots in them lol


commonly blue dots are put into taillights of motorcycles and such

same principle

owners of vehicles do it



you could ask to have yours back if you like them and put them in the new lights

never third gen f body lights before that someone had put dots into


i think they stand out way too much, and are fugly

but then i really prefer stock factory correct exteriors and interiors

I see those on hot rods at car shows from time to time, but I've never seen them on a modern car.
