After doing some quick research on these boards, I see that non-working third brake lights are a common issue for a '90-'92 Camaro. Mine is cracked on the inside, and the tabs that hold the bulb in are broken.

Where can I find one of these? eBay has none, they're discontinued through GM, the Paddock doesn't have them, and neither does Modern Day Muscle. Any thoughts? I need it to pass for a sticker...I have a June sticker on the car, making this worse!

 

I have access to some third gen camaros and firebirds.... Ill look to see what I can find this morning

 

Thanks...another member said he had one as well, but hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'm planning on buying two and keeping one as a spare, or using whichever one works better...apparently these have issues with the contacts being difficult to make work. As long as the inside housing isn't cracked, if you have one I'm interested...thanks very much.

I live in Wisconsin and my third brake light wasnt working... although we dont have an inspection in the area where I live I wanted it working...... mine had to do with contacts between the hatch and the body of the car...

 

I see...yeah, '90-'92s are different in that the light is at the top of the back window, with wiring above the headliner. Apparently they have an issue with the contacts being unreliable...like I said, if anyone has an uncracked one or knows where to get a new one, I'd appreciate the info very much...

 

no luck on the brakelight ....sorry
