how to acheive dragcar look i.e. tucked tires

i was just wondering how do you go about getting the dragcar look. alot have big rubber under the rear but its all tucked inside the wheel wells. i know it would need to be tubbed but how do you get the tires to be inside instead of sticking out? i guess it has to do with a "narrowed 9 inch". is that right? and also how do you narrow a 9 inch? just wondering because i saw a pic of the purple twin turbo camaro and i like the way the rear end looked. and sorry mods if this isnt in the right place.

You are asking a LOT of stuff there. Those questions are vague at best. If you really want to get some great detailed info, so that you might be able to make your car look that way, buy a good handbook about making drag racers. The book with talk in general about all the things you talked about and then once you have some good info in your head, you can ask specifics and you the search feature to get almost all the data you need about the stuff you want.

Hope this helped. it would take me an hour of typing to explain all the answers you want WELL.

Yeah...

The quickest and easiest way to get close, would be skinny tires up front, like 5" wide.

Max out the rear tire width, which is about a 305, with no mods.

Then you are looking at wheelie bars, drag chutes, stripped interior, including carpet, full interior roll cage etc. Aluminum drag rear wing. HIGH rise snorkel or cowl fiberglass hood. Hood pins or Dzus fasteners for the hood.

But you do any of this, you better build an engine, to back up the looks. Otherwise, you would be nothing but a poser.
