Power bulge hood block off plate?
I have an 89 formula with the power bulge hood. The car in TBI, I went with open element air cleaner and removed the block off plate in the hood. I know I'm not the only one to do this. Has any one had problems with water running onto the distributor car, coil, etc. Do I need some sort of run-off system?
Any advise?

I did this to my car and have never had a problem with it. Granted it doesn't rain much in Las Vegas, even when I wash the car I didn't have a problem. Only down side is it puts water spots on the valve covers.

I live in illinois and it rained a ton this summer. Also, I washed my car a few times and the water just poured right in. It's no problem as long as the rubber boots on the plug wires are tight (which usually they are). However, this does not meant you should dump buckets of water down that hole, and be careful with cold water on a hot engine. Rain wont do it, but too much hose action will.
