T-top fix sticky...anyone actually done it?

I was just reading the sticky about the t-top leak fix where he uses new seals and silicone tubes to fix the issues with the t-top design/rust issues/water collection that occurs there on these cars. I was just wondering if anyone here has actually done that fix and if so, how did it go? Was it a royal pain or relatively easy or did anyone find another way to do it or vary on the basic idea any for better results? Any leaks yet on anyone who has fixed it? How long ago did you repair it? Just trying to get an idea before I go ahead with mine. :-p

Here is the sticky i was talking about:

Nope. I tried emailing the guy who wrote it and his email address is no good. I just wanted to see if he had any pix for my sheer curiousity.

I'm not doing it that way. It sounds good but it really is just a bunch of work. The only way your seriously is going to fix it is new weatherstrip. I know it's expensive. I can't even afford to buy the stupid rear hatch weatherstrip for 33.50 which sucks. I have been replacing everything on this car.
