lower detent pin question?

lower detent pin question?

so following the advice from top down solutions i broke my vice trying to tap out the detent pin on my lower door hinge. any suggestions on how to get this pin out to replace my roller and new detent pin?

Cut a slot in the larger diameter pin using a metal cutoff blade. Once the pin is out weld the slot before installing the new lower detent roller and pin. I guess I need to ask how large your bench vise is before I recommend using it. Sorry yours broke. Here's the vise I own:

I just can't picture how you'd break a vise doing that, I too am curious as to what kind of vise it was..

a bit larger but it's a shop vise whos to say that it couldn't have been cracked already... i wasn't blaming you lon but it did break all the same.
