GTA mirrors

Wondering if anybody knew the answer to this one. I am buying a 1987 GTA that has a pair of side view mirrors that are not the usual tear drop shape. I have looked in some archive photos of the GTA and indeed some of the cars came with these mirrrors. They are almost a sqaure shape. I can post a pic once I pick the car up. Just wondwering if anyone knew. Thanks.

Re: GTA mirrors

Those are the paddle mirrors. Only put on the first 6 months or so of 87 American GTAs and all exports through 92 in the countries that REQUIRE fold-away mirrors, then the GTAs went to the standard 3rd gen mirror.

You don't want them.... Just send them to me for my 87 GTA!

Only half a year of production....so yeah, rare! I like the fact that they are hardly EVER seen. Not even by the people that KNOW.

I think the aero mirrors look better, but I still like the uniqueness...Trade ya my good power mirrors!

Wouldn't be worth it to me. They just look like an afterthought. The early beretta GTU had something similar, but I didn't like those either.
