blew clear off...

Ok like an idiot i got the damn wand 2 close at the car wash and i blew off a chunk of clearcoat right on the front of the car where the nose turns downward.

Its about 4" wide by 1" tall. Is there anything i can do like re-clear that spot on my own. The rest of the car is immaculate, garage kept its whole life not faded at all.

Im plannin on havin it re-painted in 5-10 years i just feel like i need to do somthin now so it doesnt start peelin more or somethin. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Re: blew clear off...

It wouldn't be too bad if you pulled the offending piece of the car and prepped and painted it. It's not too hard to paint if you're willing to try...
Or take it off and have a body shop repaint it and put it back on. they could match the paint better.
