Help me out with choosing the color to paint my 88 RS. Here is a pic of her in current visual condition. She looks a little rough around the edges but she's solid and clean inside and out aside from the slight grazing on the front bumper cover and the heavily faded paint.


My options are leave her white and add the Black Heritage stripes. Leave her white with out stripes. Paint her the same color Blue as my 01 Blazer (see next photo for reference) With or with out Black Heritage stripes. Or I could go Black with or without Gray Heritage stripes.

Thanks for the help guys I am just really stuck on this and I would like some input before I jump into this. By the way I am planning on getting the body work and paint done before I return to the states from my current deployment to Iraq.

I picked black and gray, I don’t think I have seen to many of those, and the ones I have, have looked really nice. I think pure black can also look really nice.

I'd go a little different route. How about the dark blue with white stripes? Add white wheels and it looks bad *** and really stands out.

 

I voted for white with stripes, or go plain white. White is so easy to keep clean and IMHO a white car is sexy

 

I chose black with grey stripes because I think the grey compliments our rims and interior, well at least if you have the grey style interior.

 

IMO, I would leave it white. Add stripes if ya want, but if you paint it black the small rock chips you will no doubt get will chip down to the original white . That is unless you strip it down to bare metal. Not only that a color change that different will be very labor intensive and costly to do it right. Good luck on your choice, have fun!
