ok so i need some help here!!

anyone have original GM paint chips for 83 firebirds, i want to repaint (color change) my bird but i want to use a factory paint color. it's **** i know, but i want it to look right ya know.

also, what do you guys think about taking the pwr doors off an 85 and putting 'em on the 83. i would like to have the pwr windows & mirrors in the 83 but i don't know if this was an option for my model firebird, again it comes back to originallity vs original.

 

Go to your local auto paint store, a good paint store should have paint chips back that far.

 

You can just inquire at say a Maaco paint shop about a color change for your car and they will pull out their paint books for your year. You can then look at all the colors available for that year and get the paint number you want to the colors you want!

 

they should have paint codes at your paint store with the vehicle manufacters name and what car it goes on
