Turbo Daytona Hood help please!

Hello.. I am new to this forum and i have a problem with my new fiberglass hood i bought from e-bay Here is the ad..

Now the hood is in perfect condition and fitted my car just fine.
After i received the hood all i had to do was fitting all parts from the old hood over to the new fiberglass hood.I had to do a few adjustment to the locking mechanism in front of the hood to get it to lock properly.

But i am having a problem fitting the spring that is supposed to be fitted under the hood to help popping the hood when i pull the lever inside the car.
There is nothing to fit the spring to under the hood.. So now when i want to pop the hood i need someone to pull the hood at the same time i pull the lever from inside.

What do i do?

The car is a 1986 Camaro IROC-Z

I assume the hood is lined up correctly right??. Could be sticking at the release.

Re: Turbo Daytona Hood help please!

Yes the hood is aligned.. Everything fits just right, but my question is how to fit the spring from the old hood to the new one?

I can take some pictures if that helps?

Re: Turbo Daytona Hood help please!

what you are saying is that on the daytona hood there is no where to place the spring, correct? I had the same issue with my fiberglass hood, so instead of attaching the spring to the hood i attached it to the car, where the hood locks to the car.
