Re: rear wing removal
If it is the regular spoiler, and not the Aero, then it has 4 bolts, 2 on each side.
One on each side might be exposed but the other is under a little circular plastic cover.
Once the 4 bolts are out, it will come right out.
Assuming its not the style with the 3rd tail light built into it.

Re: rear wing removal
Does the wrap around one have 3 on each side or 4 and is that called the Aero wing. Or is it glue towards the tips. Reasoning being I saw one at the junkward and I have the reg wing and would love that wrap around 1. thanks

Re: rear wing removal
Wrap around/Aero, is only 4 nuts too. The wing itself has studs. Unplug the 3rd brake first, as it comes up with the wing, then 2 more nuts to take it off the wing.

Re: rear wing removal
So you have to remove the whole wing and glass in order to get it. I was hoping to just remove the wing itself and remove my reg and install it on mine. Are the studs welded on or rivet. thanks

Re: rear wing removal
The wing is bolted to the deck of the hatch.
Here .
Just pull the interior panel....4 screws.
Unplug the 3rd brake light. You'll find 4 nuts. Remove, those & lift the Aero wing, with the 3rd brake light attached. 2 nuts (,aybe bolts, can't recall) and the 3rd brake light housing comes off the wing.

Re: rear wing removal
If you want to mount the aero spoiler on a standard firebird you'll have to remove both spoilers, and then fill the holes in your non-aero spoiler equipped birds decklid and then redrill holes for the aero spoiler.
Seems to me that it would just be easier to replace the entire hatch and be done with it.
