Need help with weatherstripping

Need help with weatherstripping

I am getting my car ready for paint and new weatherstripping but i can't get all the weatherstipping off the black trim pieces on the b pillar and a pillar for the t top weatherstripping. any help apprecitated.

Are you talking about the weatherstripping or the adhesive? For the weatherstripping, use a plastic chisel or spatula type thing to prevent scratching. I carefully used a screwdriver. The adhesive was a pain to remove but with some 3M adhesive remover, it will dissolve with lots of elbow grease. The 3M adhesive remover will also deteriorate the old weatherstripping and make it easier to remove.

yeh i bought some of that but it didn't seem like it was working it must take a lot of it .

you also may want to try wax/ silicone remover. i have been using that on all sorts of adhesives since i started prepeing my car and the remover with some scotch brite is a killer combo for removing gunk
