Hood and Hatch Hydrolics

I'm pretty sure mine have bitten the dust because neither set work properly and don't keep the hatch or hood up... and with the hatch being heavy as s***, I don't want to strain myself in fear of losing my head every time I want to get my armorall out of the back lol.

How hard would it be to replace these, how much would you say they are, and where might I go about finding them?

(If I posted this in the wrong section of the forum, feel free to move it, just tell me where it was moved to lol)

Re: Hood and Hatch Hydrolics

u can just buy em at autozone or any autoparts store, they are called gas shocks or lift assist shocks. just bring yours in to compare size or most places have a book. if you have a second person who can be your beast of burden and hold the hood/hatch while the shocks are being changed then all four shouldnt take more than 30 minutes with a basic tool collection. otherwise some creativie uses of sticks and broom handles come into play. i wouldnt imagine you would be out more than 100 for all 4 of em. obviously the hood ones are cheaper
