Axle/Gears: no gears as yet
Body dolly
If I was to build a dolly to place under body ---So as to move body around just how high off shop floor does it need to be???? After I get her apart..

how far you gonna take it down ? i would think about 12in. would be fine . i just made one for eng/tranny combo 2'x4' . made mine from angle iron , 3/4 in p/t plywood , and 6 casters . works great . harbor freight has a large selection of h/d casters , straight & swivel . good luck . BTW the angle iron i used was a old bed frame .

sounds like you are going to take on a major , MAJOR project . nothing wrong with that . i have done a few on older H/Ds motorcycles . a suggestion , take pictures of everything , store them on a disc , good to check later . good luck my man .

I would say just high enough to get the tires off the ground... Do you have a tape measure and a floor jack?

Got just about any tool you might need and always ready to get more...
Thats what I was thinking to. But its better to ask someone that has one ...And so for it seems that the tires just off floor is the way to go..
