I found a 92 Camaro RS for $300
The front end is damaged dead center so it will need a new nose, headlight assembly, radiator core support and hood.
I am unable to find any front end parts in any salvage yards within 100 miles.
My neighbor has a 1982 Z28 with a bad motor.He is selling for the car for $200

My question is will the hood and front end of the 82 Z fit on the 92 RS.

I know, you are asking why I would do such a thing. The answer is I am building it for my son, and Functionality is more important than Originality

 

Yes, It will work, Just the ground effects will be different.

 

do yourself and your son a favor and find a 91-92 front end. the 82-84 front is just not pretty and if your going to spend the money to put any new paint on the car, you will kick yourself for not spending a couple extra bucks for an "aero" front end. it will look especially wierd with the 91-92 gfx on the rest of the car and the 82 front end. it just won't look good. my

I may just buy both cars and eventually fix up the 82 down the road. That will give my wife something to smile about
