How hard is it to install 4th gen camaro seats into a 92 camaro?

hey man i have a set in my 86 iroc-z. It is a direct bolt in. Just buy a set and bolt them in. Simple as that. -Matt

 

less than an hour. 30 min to take out old seats, 30 min to put in new seats.

 

Are the 4th gen seats any taller or do they sit any higher? I am 6'3" and have no headroom to spare.

 

I swapped from gta power seats to manual 4'th gen seats because they are much lower, I am 6'5" and can sit comfortably now, I used to wack my head on the roof. You get bout 2 more inches with 4'th gen manual over 3'rd gen power seats.

hey, will the seat track from a 4th gen fit, cuz the tracks on mine is broke

INSTRUCTIONS FOR 4TH GEN SEAT SWAP:
1 Remove plastic trim peces that cover bolts (If still present)
2. Remove 4 bolts and nuts (13 mm. 8 per car.)
3. remove seats (2 per car)
4. place new 4th gen seats in car, lining up bolt holes/studs as needed.
5. Re-use old bolts/nuts from 3rdgen seats, tighten as needed.
6. If new seats came with plastic trim for bolts, reinstall them
7. Sit on drivers seat and feel truly comfortable for once!!!!
LOL, this swap is the easiest of all swaps to do. As hard as it is to believe, there are many GM seats that are a direct bolt-in for third gen camaros. I have even heard that mustang seats will bolt right in, though, I've not seen it myself.
