Wax or Lube for dry paint
Wax or Lube for dry paint
It was painted 4-5 years ago by me and it never got waxed or anything, needed to wait for it to cure, also planned to color sand and clear even though it was a 1 stage, time just slipped away. Now: Most of it has taken wax nice but the roof and hood just aren't having it. It looks better but won't take a shine, likes it dry and just soaks it up. condition wise it didn't look any different then paint else where that shined up nice.
Rubbing compound?
Glaze?
Using a 12in cheapo orb waxer, got a 6in too.
Using the colormatch turttlewax with the black dye in it to hide scratches.

Give COLOR BACK by Turtle Wax a try. It only costs about 6 or $7 a bottle. It contains compound AND glaze and it's pretty user friendly. IMO it's worth a gamble; I've been happy with the results.
