Two months ago I bought an original 90 RS 305 TBI from an older couple. They had owned the car since 91. The rims and alternator were the only thing not original on the car. It had 87,000 when I picked it up. I did a full tune up and catback flowmaster exhaust. As you can see from the pictures, the car was covered in PAINTED on graphics. I tried everything I could think of to remove this without harming the original paint. I started today with 1000 and 1500 grit wet sanding. I'll post more as the process goes on.

Started wetsanding all the areas with graphics which was most of the car. Worked all day saturday and sunday. 1000, 1500 grit, and a sanding block. Wasn't quite sure what I was doing but I went with it. You can see in the pics the areas I sanded. Like I said before, the paint is original.

 

After alot of buffing with rubbing compound and some 3M cleaner wax here it is so far. I'm still not done. I still have some scratches showing. The car looks better than it did. I also replaced the rims with the original 15 inchers.
