Small Hole in floor

Small Hole in floor

I pulled my carpet up in my 83 TA found a few small holes in the floor,
what should I use to plug them? Bondo, Also what can I use for rust before I
install the new carpet.

Cut out as much the rust as you can so it doesn't spread

Get some sheet metal and weld it in (Some people rivet it in, but some swear that it wont hold up, i don't really know, if you rivet it in make sure to use seam sealer)

Some people may say buy new floor pans, but that's alot of bank for a few small holes.


You might wanna spray whatever u put in to repair it, with some rust product, maybe por15 or something. (Could go head and spray the whole floor with it)

Check out POR-15 products. I used it to repair a 2 x 6 hole several years ago, and all's well today. Highly recommended.

cut out the rot, get sheetmetal and weld it in. if you can't weld then use JB weld, thats what I used and it worked good. I'd rather have welded it but my welder was down.
