Power trunk assist (Low Budget Fix)
Power trunk assist (Low Budget Fix)
My power trunk assist went out in the down position (Ain't that the way it goes LOL)
So after about 2+ hours I figured it out.
Disconnect the motor from the track assembly and remove the actual motor from the gear spine along with the pin for the connection rod.
Spin the shaft so you are about 3 inches up then assemble, use the up down adjustment (tracks to body) to get the trunk to latch tight and I got mine within /3 inch of flush (deck lid to quarter panel.
MONSTER nightmare but gave me a reason to listen to the Bills Miami game ona sunny Tennessee afternoon.
Why did GM make this so complex they really did not need to.
