My 88 IROC is at the body shop, it has been painted and I should get it back on Monday. I made the decision to remove my IROC decals and stripes that run around the car. Seems it had been painted before and clear was run up to the edge of the decals, and you could feel the lip. Taking them off was easy as the guy at the shop loaned me the heat gun so I could do it myself. I felt real bad taking them off but it will give me a much better finished look. I also measured photoed them and took video of them while I measured. Both sides were close but not perfect as far as the measurement between them.

Question here is has anyone every put these back on? Is it easy or should I just pay someone to do it? I don't want to screw up 200 dollors worth of decals. I am for sure putting them back on.

I haven't done it, but will be this week. My neighbor has an 89 IROC-Z that just got painted this summer. His car is stripe delete, but he had the dealer add the GFX stripe after he bought the car new in 89. It looks good with just the body stripe so we are putting it back on.

I believe the best way is to follow these instructions.
