the cabe is still intact from the puller to the underhood area i can hear it moving when i mess with the puller inside. but their is no tension at all when i pull it and the hood wont open.

yes yes its great.

any ideas. it is tpi with the factory ram air setup so it pretty much surrounds the latch.

sometimes you cant win....

any help would be greatly apreciated.

at least you will know what you are touching when you reach under the hood.

yes i cant rember does this hood utilize a pin style latch where the pin locks or does it use a bar syle where it latches onto a bar like a door latch is?

 

if u get under the front u should be able to look up and see its a latch if u slid it to the left it should open

 

yes thats kinda what i am thinking because its the pin style latch right?

so i should just have to remove the bumpers splash sheild and then the latched pin should be right their and i just slide the lock out?

 

If the outer part of the cable has come out of the groove that holds it you can just pull on it to open the hood, if the actual inner cable part is still connected to the latch. Another common problem is that the hood sticks. If someone pulls on the hood release and you press down on the front of the hood and work it a little it may release. Remember also, the hood release handle has to go all the way back in before the hood will open.

 

lol yea no i use to be able to just pull up or pop the hood literly i know the cable came off or broke right at the under hood latch 150% positive.
