painted taillights 92 T/A

i painted the tail lights on my T/A a few days ago i got sick of looking at the delam. so i started by smoking them lightly then i taped off about half of the parts that light up and painted the rest opaque black durring the day they look completely black until i turn them on. i am very happy with how hey turned out all i have to do is go back and wet sand them to make them shine

I am not a fan. I wouldn't have sprayed black. I would have smoked the whole thing... The work done looks good, just not my style.

Re: painted taillights 92 T/A

the original plan was to only smoke them but i had already started and i did not have enough of the transparent paint and i cant get any locally until febuary so this was my backup plan. plus with the smoke only i still would have been able to see the delam the way i did it you cant see any at all. i think sometime soon i am going to get a white decal that says trans am and lay it on the tails and clear over it i think it might look cool with black tails and white letters on a white car.

You could rip all the delaminated grid out, redo it, or make your own custom"grid".....

as long as you know that an extra set of those 91-92 TA taillights is going to cost you at least $150
