hey all just wanted to know if it is possible to put the front bumper cover from a 1985 TA on a 1982 firebird would i need to do fenders too or..... any ideas??

 

You should be able to do thw swap just fine, my 88 GTA actually has an aluminum front impact bar off an 84 Firebird under the cover. If you want it to look right, you'll need the small gfx pieces that go on the front fenders in front of the wheels. It won't look right without those.

And personally, the whole car won't look right with just those parts. It would drive me nuts, because the front bumper on an 85 TA has an extension that goes down a few inches to make the car appear to be lower, the front bumper gfx bolt on the fenders to continue the styling and then the rocker gfx, door gfx, rear quarter gfx, and rear bumper cover finish it off. I personally wouldn't do it as it would drive me nuts, but if it's what you want, then go for it!

 

well i would do the whole thing for sure, side rockers, etc. i just want the stock looking fog lights and a lil more form to the front then just a blank piece with the two black pieces. its kinda bland lookin. but i can understand what your sayin for sure. would i have to do fenders too or will it go right on you think??

 

it will bolt up but the top 2 holes will need 2 be motified alil jus tap the the top holes with a hammer until there resest if not there will be a gap

 

the fenders are the same just the vent covers are differentbecause 85 and up the ground effects are bigger
