my trunk won't open, i have a 1988 firebird and the release button won't open it and the key won't either, it was fine before, never had problems with it, just suddenly it stopped opening.....is there someway i can get it open from the inside of the trunk? need help guys

 

I did this on a 92 GTA at the local pick n pull. To get the tail lights and wing

I've had to remove the plastic from the inside rear of the car.
Remember there are 2 screws on the top which you cant reach.

Then pull hard.

Then take a 13mm and remove the 3 bolts holding down latch.

Hatch poped open.... Dont think if there is an easy way...
