how to remove the black bumper things...

on my formula? Do they just pop off or what.

Look at the back side there is some fasteners.HTH

I hope you only want the off to repaint the bumper cover & not shave them. But if you get them out, you'll be left with big rectangular impression of where they were & nasty looking holes under there.

I was wondering the same thing....What do you mean by fasteners...do they just click in??

i have the same bumper on my car and i hate them.. i might check with a guy here locally and see if he can make a fiberglass insert.. for some lights or a cold air setup and put some grills meshing on it

You have to remove the bumper and they clips holding them, don't try to pry them out, they damage very easy and are very hard to find a good used set or almost impossible to find a pair of NOS.
